This was a project to rebrand the City of Nanaimo: to create a new visual identity through a logo and print collateral.
PROBLEM DEFINITION
The organization is the local government of the City of Nanaimo. Their current market are locals who access their services and interact with them as well as outsiders that are visiting the city. There is a lot of focus towards cultural events and festivals that are happening as well as services for the community in their current brand.
However, there are inconsistencies with their brand that has been needing to adapt to the changing environment of technology and media.
Nanaimo is a historic urban centre on the east side of beautiful Vancouver Island with recreation and cultural opportunities that provide a lifestyle second to none. A business centre surrounded by a beautiful natural harbour is vibrant and growing welcoming newcomers and visitors.
RESULTS
The result of the rebranding is to instill more confidence in the local community and to increase level of professionalism
